I have been making this recipe all through summer for dessert as it is easy to make and super refreshing and tasty on a hot evening. You can substitute the strawberries for any sort of fruit and I also sometimes add freeze dried fruit powder which adds an extra flavour kick (I highly recommend you add this if you have any!).
Oh how Cristmassy these little mince pies are 🎄 they make me feel so happy! 😍 These pies were a hit with my family, apparently they tasted just like the normal mince pies! The pies held together really well - I was worried that the pastry would crumble and the fruit would be too watery but they turned out perfectly. The fruit mixture is super tasty, and you can use any sort of dried fruit that you like. You may have a little bit of fruit mixture left over at the end, but it is delicious with greek or coconut yoghurt as a dessert.
These Chocolate Christmas Crackles are a tasty and fun Christmas inspired treat that are not only super easy to make but also packed full of nutrients. The Christmas spirit is well and truly in the air and I am obsessed with creating festive treats right now. These crackles would make the perfect homemade gift if you wrapped them in clear cellophane tied together with red ribbon (I think I might do this!) - although remember to keep them in the fridge or freezer so they don't melt. I also think they are a fun recipe for kids to get involved in as they are so easy and fun to make.
LOVE this recipe! When I go to BBQs where you BYO plate of food, vegetable kebabs and satay sauce is something I always take! I used to just be sneaky and buy that packet peanut sauce where you just add coconut milk and cook in the the pot. Man that sauce was tasty but filled with so many nasties so I am stoked to have come up with this healthier version. For the kebabs use what ever veggies you love, you could even add chicken pieces to them as well. Perfect for those summer BBQs or a tasty midweek dinner
I feel like Christmas is well and truly upon us (even though we are still in November!). All the shops have their decorations up, Christmas recipes are filling the internet and I am starting to stress about Christmas shopping! I made these ginger cookies last Christmas and popped them into glass jars with red ribbon around the top and gave them to my family. I thought it was such a cute idea and biscuits stayed nice and crunchy for over a week - that was without the icing though.
Baked beans are hit here in NZ, I think we an all agree they are pretty tasty! However those Watties baked beans while they are delicious, they are very high in sugar, salt and thickened with flour so not something I eat anymore. This recipe for homemade baked beans is so tasty and super easy to make too.
