My Everyday Food Items

This video is all about the common everyday foods that I have in my kitchen, including the staple items that I have in my cupboards and also the fresh produce that I buy in my food shop each week. All the foods below form the foundation of most of the recipes on my blog. 

Cupboard Items

  • Raw nuts - Almonds, cashews, walnuts and brazil nuts
  • Seeds - Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds and sesame seeds
  • Free-range eggs 
  • Tahini
  • Balsamic vinegar (I add to salads)
  • Spices - paprika, curry powder, ground coriander, ground cumin, cinnamon
  • Dried herbs – mixed herbs, rosemary, thyme.
  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Tinned legumes - lentils, black beans, chickpeas, red beans
  • Organic coconut milk
  • Tamari sauce
  • Coconut oil
  • Dates,
  • A natural sweetener such as honey, rice malt syrup, maple syrup or coconut nectar
  • Cacao powder and/or 100% cacao powder
  • A natural nut butter such as peanut butter, almond butter or cashew butter

Fridge Items

  • Spinach
  • Bananas
  • Beetroot
  • Lemons
  • Salad ingredients: mesclun, sprouts, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber
  • Avocado
  • Broccoli
  • Green beans
  • Sweet potato
  • Pumpkin
  • Frozen peas
  • Free-range chicken – or other meat that you will feel like eating that week
  • Feta cheese
